Hillary Clinton can win against John McCain - I have no doubt about that - but only Barack Obama has shown that he can change the contours of our political landscape. With Obama, the Democratic Party has the opportunity to again become the dominant party in American politics, and in the process, push the United States in a far more progressive direction.
Senator Clinton’s willingness to destroy the party (and our chance at a progressive realignment) makes her absolutely undeserving of the nomination. At this point, whatever goodwill I had for her is gone. I hope she loses, and I hope she loses big. The Democratic Party will be a much better place when we finally leave the Clinton’s behind.
