I had said before that I don't have much faith in the kindness of men. It is too much of an absolute statement and unfortutaly it would include myself so this needs a little revision. Perhaps humans in America are under the influence of the media and capitiism too often and hence distrust can form because we see too my greed, compititon and violence to sort out the underlying need to give as the greatest source of meaning in life. It is what we remember fondly in our minds eye. Making some laugh or smile is worth a lot. We can do a lot better and learn to deflect some of the cynicism that we are dealt with, because after all we must live with the consequence of playing into the system of selfishness and bad communication. Any progress in this area is huge. Take part in it.
