I made a post on a blog out there and got this very interesting confession from a young man.

Spent this summer without internet access. I realized that I had let too many potential friendships die during my time at university, due to the fact that I would add people on Facebook and then forget about them over time.

I did this to myself, retreating into the foxhole that is modern technology during my teenage years, preferring the anonymity of the internet to real life interactions. Old habits are indeed hard to break.

Distraction is fun but I think, like many things, people tend to take it too far.
