Sometimes I wonder if people view people who they don't really know as another kind of animal.

That our sense of inner isolation is so deep that we view other people with out hearts, souls and minds that are practically identical to our own.   That our value to ourselves goes way beyond our value of others.  That if we value others it is how they can make us feel and how much power they can give.    People may be afraid of intimacy and true love.   It is easier to toy with people and to treat them like toys is what I have seen.   If love is so confusing, then do we just give in to our lower impulses.   Yes that seems common.   Vanity may be so high that it touches the metaphorical sky.   Getting what we want defies all which is higher in ourselves.   I know we are selfish.   At least become less selfish, not for any reason except that you might experience your higher self.   It is not that kind of world where people go there very often.   People usually just go along with the program whether they realize it or not.   It is in our genes to a large degree.   But we are capable of connecting with others in deep ways.   If you really believe you are alone, even when surrounded by people it is tragic.   There is no magic.   Though sex happens and people get rich and obtain power and vanity, this is not the best of all possible worlds.   To be mutually enamored with another is beyond this lonely existance.   Perhaps there is a chance that we will feel for our entire species in a state of compassion.   To feel for people.   To be filled with love and have it flow outwards and to returns till we come together more as species.   Truth is unfortunatly that we are all one, this may seem like an inconvenient truth, but it may grow on you someday.
