If we were wrong then what?

Seriously I have been feeling like not just me, but many of us have been looking in the wrong places and taking the wrong actions.   I mean a ridiculous amounts of mistakes being made over and over.   That is my feeling.   Do we like doing things the wrong way?   Is it really that hard to listen to your sense of how things should be done?   What is it about many of us that refuses our own inner guides?   Is if funny or something in strange perverse way to do what a person knows deep down is creepy?   Why do we not fight those influences when they arise when they often do?    If people want life than death is not the place to seek life is kind of what I am saying.   If something smells like shit then why be lame enough to step into it?   Do we feel like we have nine lives or something?   Honestly what possible good outcome happens through some form of perversion of the way things really work best?   Which experts do you follow and do you have the inner guide within yourself to say no when needed?  And do we have the understanding of the power within ourselves to flip off ideas and institutions that are only creating greater and greater punishment.   Only great acts of courage seem to build the character.   Fame, popularity, wealth, sex, power, and unexamined trends all could be the source of a great evil that we see as small possibly and do not treat it at all as a serious threat.   Stubborn and out dated, even prehistoric, makes a mockery of our human and spiritual potential.   God Speed us out of these eventual death traps.
