Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone uses suspense way to much. I start feeling as if that is her main writers trick. The issue of closure is unpleasent for me though. Let's reveal things a little faster. Not knowing just can be agonizing. Kind of like a detective book where nothing is very explained. A book full of interesting disapointments about a mysteriously gifted boy in a magical world with dangers which have no strong reason for existing. Harry is tossed into circumstances much faster than he has time to develop his character. That being interesting. Harry is simply not a wimp, so that keeps the adventure from stopping. Harry though is often not able to understand himself or the worlds he is in. The muggles seem as odd as the odd world of Hogwarts. So there is never the comfort of home.
