They have persisted to the present day as entirely invisible to virtually all other cultures. In other words: isolate more than almost any group in the world. It has been said that they dislike telivision and computers out of a negative view on them. It is likely that they are clearly against modernity and even simply have contempt for others outside of their group partially from having a proud history older than any on earth. Not all have the same wealth of course, but some may be wealthy.
